What is Medicare Rx, Medicare Part D?
Answer:
Alabama Medicare Part D, also known as Medicare Rx, provides additional coverage for prescription drugs. While you are automatically eligible for Medicare Part A and Part B when you turn 65, you must specifically sign-up for Part D if you want its benefits. In order to be eligible for Part D, you must first be enrolled in Medicare Part A and B. After you are enrolled, find the appropriate Medicare D program for your service area. Penalties can be assigned if you do not have appropriate prescription drug coverage, so you will want to ensure that you verify that this step is completed. If you currently have a Medicare Advantage Plan, you will not need Medicare Part D.
